Rickey Ford, or "Mister Saxophone" as he is called, is by friends and fellow musicians, is a versatile musician who sings and  plays saxophone, flute, keys, clarinet, piano, oboe.

Ricky and his band are perfect for clubs, coffeehouse sets, parties, banquets or special events.

After "getting his chops together" at Shelby State Community College and later Texas Southern University, Rickey is conversant in a wide range of styles, from classical to rock, reggae, funk, blues, gospel, alternative rock, zydeco/cajun, country and R&B.

Rickey has opened for, or performed with, The Delfonics, Jennifer Holiday, Milton Berle, Kirk Whalum, Joe Sample, Barbara Johnson Tucker, and Johnny Taylor, to name a few.

Rickey plays everything from classical to rock, to reggae, to funk, the blues, gospel, jazz, alternative, rock, zydeco/cajun, latin jazz, country and R&B.  The audience is engendered to get up, shake a leg and rejoice in the beauty of music.

Mr. Ford is available as a solo, with tracks or with his R&B party band, 'Greatness."
